One Wheel, Two Kinds of Paddle Feel
The PXN W DS R2 Racing Wheel takes a deliberately split approach to its paddle design: upper paddles built for fast, tactile gear changes, and lower paddles built for the kind of smooth, analogue input a clutch or handbrake actually needs. Wrapped in a D-shaped 300 mm aluminium alloy frame, it is built specifically around PXN's VD-series direct drive ecosystem.- 13 programmable buttons, 2 rotary encoders, 1 joystick – comprehensive control layout for in-race adjustments and menu navigation

Why two different paddle mechanisms: A gear shift and a clutch engagement are fundamentally different inputs, one is a clean on/off signal, the other needs gradual, measurable travel. By giving the upper paddles magnetic switches and the lower paddles linear sensors, the W DS R2 actually matches the mechanism to the job instead of using one paddle type for everything.
Built specifically for the VD ecosystem: The W DS R2 connects to PXN's VD4, VD6, and VD10 direct drive bases through a proprietary quick-release system, designed and tuned specifically for that ecosystem rather than adapted from a universal standard.
Configuration that goes beyond button mapping: Through PXN SimRacing software, you can remap every button, adjust the RGB RPM lighting behaviour, and update firmware, giving you a level of customisation typically reserved for wheels well above this price point.
